About Us

The Sinkhole Saloon & Grille at Palmyra Bowling Center is a family owned and operated business bought by Doug and Sue Eiserman in 1981. Doug an avid bowler, transformed Palmyra Bowling Center from a floundering business to a successful community entertainment venue that has become a Palmyra area treasure. Doug and Sue have prided themselves on the ideals of a family operated business with the support of their daughters Beth, Christine, and Amy. In 1998 Amy officially joined the team as the manager of Palmyra Bowling and continues to oversee building operations as well the Dutchman Bolony Bowling Tournament, which brings bowlers to the center from all over the country. The Sinkhole Saloon & Grille was added in 2008 making it the first bar in North Londonderry township, changing the town’s long held “dry” status. With this new addition, also marked the return of Sue and Doug’s daughter Christine after a long and successful military career. Christine oversaw restaurant operations and together with Amy, established a family friendly restaurant and hometown bar. Today, Sue and Doug are enjoying their retirement by traveling and spending time with their children, grandchildren and great grandchild.

The Sinkhole Saloon is proud to feature a wide selection of homemade food including 46 wing flavors, hand-pattied burgers and four different variations of mac-n-cheese. Over the years we are proud to continue Sue and Doug’s love for bowling, good food and support of local schools, community events and charitable endeavors.
